Do you have the updated systems inside? Why are they so great to run. I've actually never run one or even seen one run. Maybe I did at Springfield, but it doesn't register. Somehow, my old house would lend itself. I really like all the out-of-scale extras, in those nice colors.

My engines have conventional (modern) as opposed to traditional (Bld-A-Loco) electronics. They are mostly reproductions from MTH and the Lionel Classics effort of the late 1980s. Actual restored versions from the 1930s are outrageous.

With the exception of uncoupling (forget about it), they are easy to move around on the layout. The reverberation of sound in the pressed steel bodies and gleam of the baked on enamel make them a treat to hear and see.

I think what I like most is the appearance in motion. Like many artsy things from the 1930s (some cartoons come to mind), they are a caricature of reality, emphasizing that which is visually impressive in the eyes of a child. In the same way that Mickey Mouse has three fingers, these trains do not pretend to acurately represent reality. Thus, they define their own form.

I was so worried about Dennis, I fear I over medicated. Jon, we'll try and keep an eye on him, won't we? He should be safe here in the Jungle. Get him one of those busted up Kols things to play with.

Jon, that's simply too funny. I'm never going to get any work done if you keep this up. Met Jimmy at the factory yet?

Jon, LMFAO!!

At least you got me on the business end of that hose!

And Tramp, with that 10-gallon hat, looks like a 'Comp'ny'-man peering out that window. How ironic! Next thing you know, he'll be bustin' our hobo asses.

Naw, all us working men got on hats. I thought I fit right in with the motley group. I guess my driving wasn't so hot. The TMCC musta run amok.

Yeah, Tramp, agreed. Lousy joke. Nobody'd EVER confuse you with a company dick. Guess your hat was just too white.
Some of my humor sputters in the air. This one never even got off the ground. Matter of fact, it crashed and burned in the hangar.

On second inspection, you actually look good up there. That pic might be suitable for framing!
