Just because the tv cameras have activated shouldn’t be the signal to tell everything you are planning and thinking.
Sometimes, wise strategy is to keep your trap shut. Why assure adversaries of your plans and thinking?!
Not sure where you get your news Murph, but Biden has been plagued his entire 50+ years in politics by foot in mouth disease. He does ok when reading the prompter, although even then he screws up, but he absolutely cannot be trusted to talk off the cuff or adlib without direction from his handlers. That is why in many cases where he spoke at press conferences, he gives his spiel and immediately exits the press room without taking questions. His staff knows that he can't think clearly or fast enough to answer without problems. Look how many times in just over a year he's blown up at reporters, even resorting to name calling. Then it's up to his staff and WH spokeswoman Jen Psaki to set the record straight. (They call it clarifying). This latest HUGE gaff before the people of Ukraine, (in Poland), where he stated, (off the cuff), that Putin should not be allowed to stay in power was unreal. The whole worlds news organizations took that as he meant that Putin should either be deposed or otherwise eliminated. The staff later clarified that he meant "just in Ukraine", but he didn't say that. Now news people are wondering, (and probably so is Putin) if the US is calling for Putin's ouster as a world leader or worse. And how about when he was speaking to the Army Airborne about "when you go in"? Did he mean he's gonna puts boots on the ground in Ukraine, or did he just screw up as usual?
Aren't you and I in agreement, here, though you've said it more extensively than I ? (!)
