Well, it's been a couple months since you started this thread and received our input. How has retirement been going for you?

If we are not used to lifting bunches of stuff or even weight or bulk noteworthy individual items, let yourself do that rarely, if at all.
Perhaps Rufus would support my cautioning you in this regard .

Coupled with what I believe is a bad hip and more recently sciatic nerve issues, it gets interesting. Ladders are a trigger point or sit for more than a few minutes and I walk like Grandpa McCoy for awhile. Right hip issue has been with me for few years and comes and goes, but this sciatic thing is all day,m everyday and makes many different parts of my thigh, calf, ankle, knee extremely painful, but never all at the same time....moves up and down the leg. Getting in and out of the car I have to learn back to help lift my leg in and very painful to lean down and tie my shoe if I can even do the right leg. I need to get a new local doctor but their solution always seems to be meds to cover, rather than find the problem. We'll see. Can't go on like this.

Wondering if I might not have just a pinched nerve and an adjustment would take care of the leg pain. Hip is what it is and might need a replacement....someday.
