The devil is in the details...that said, I tweaked my RR track plan for a year before laying a single piece of track. And even then just as you've mentioned in prior posts, I still had to make a few adjustments because of the discrepancy between software and real life. And oh by the way, I've had my share of oh s*** moments. Keep messaging things until they are the way you want them. I'm enjoying your journey immensely.

Yeah, my RR-Track plan went through dozens of versions before I laid any track as well. And it has been greatly modified over the years. There really is a difference between the real world and the software. In fact, my friend (the one who has been helping me) and I had a debate over the track geometry "solution" I think I've found. He's skeptical (and rightly so) of the software solution. Saturday, I took physical pieces of track and laid them down in rough approximation of the solution and it "looked" good, but I've got to confirm that. My clearances are very tight; fortunately GarGraves track allows you to fudge things if necessary. He uses AtlasO track which is not so forgiving, hence his concern.
I appreciate the encouragement. It really helps. Sometime I get in the trap of thinking it should all flow perfectly the first time. Only Mozart wrote symphonies and operas (in all parts) from start to finish without mistakes. I am not Mozart.
I find that I enjoy the correspondence and camaraderie of the forum as much as the layout building.
