Easter Island Guy makes a good tunnel.
Scotch Brite is good for chunky stuff, but I prefer denatured alcohol for track cleaning as the goo-gone tends to leave a film on the rails. If using a track cleaning car with the alcohol you just gotta go kinda slow and easy, don't want no sparks. And just a reminder, pull the track cleaner car DON'T push. I know it sounds silly to say that but I have seen one person who was, until he was reminded of the possibilities.

Andre, steel wool has been banned in Maine since 1966.

Tramp, Is that Gargraves tinplate track you are using? If so, go easy on the scotch brite. It will remove the plating and the track will start to rust. :(

Had the Norton out for a little putt today. Still playing with the jetting. They must have changed the gas quite a bit in the last 9 years. I've had to lean it way out so not to foul the plugs.

BTW did you see Peter Egan's column in last months Cycle World about his Velo Venom?

AWESOME!!! Tramp and Daisy- the photos are just like I imagined them in my mind!! What a beautiful floor layout!!!! The long runs of track, the polished wood floors, and the sun beaming in from the windows. A perfect connection to my childhood- only on an immensely grander scale!! If I were visiting, you'd have to line up about 9 or 10 brews on the floor before I was ready to get up!! Enjoy and thanks for sharing!! :D

Train club uses Nail Polish Remover from CVS to clean track. Inexpensive and any left over you can give it to your wife.

Missed where in Maine this is? My son is living in Westbrook Maine.

Turntable??? Vinyl???

Just kiddin'. Know them well. But ask a 25 year old today what they are, and they're clueless.
