Thanks for the goggles. Champale in the eyes causes derailments and hanger accidents.

We're doin' grunion over on this side.

Sardines or grunion, Dennis?

No haggis?

Shot and a beer. Now we're talkin'!

Looky, Tramp's holding his long-neck.
Drinking his beer, too.

I've never eaten a sardine, after looking at them sitting in a can, but a charcoaled-one sounds interesting. Can you spice them up like blackened cajun catfish? Ooo, mama!

Jon, the new switcher is in house! What a beauty. I'm envious. If you get a chance--more shots.

As I understand it, the Scots created Haggis as some kind of test. No one can eat that crap.

Dennis, you sound much calmer. Well done, Sandy! You really don't need anything on the sardines but a little salt. They're very flavorful.

I Agree! Every time I hear of haggis I want to paint my face blue and run around like William Wallace

San, have you noticed that Jon's women look a lot alike?

Damn I like those switchers, but since my pike is all through trains, it wouldn't have much use here.

"Long live the hobos!" [Sorry, that Friday-night 3-beer buzz start. Gets me every time.]

Jon, the interior of the switcher cab looks lit up. Is that true? How's the sound?

Geez this party is lame! Where is everybody? Will I have to put my clothes on to get this party started?

Well, first let me say that this is an
Atlas 2001 model in the road name I was looking for so I'm very happy to have found one new in the box. Some quick observations. The weight of this engine is incredible! It has die cast trucks, frame, and even the hood. The painting and detail is flawless. Slow running for switching purposes is beautiful and both the electro-couplers work great. The engine sounds range from the piston knocking idle to the whine of the diesel under strain. The horn is pretty authentic as well as the bell . The air release and brake sounds are nice. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give the sound system a 7.
Some not so neat things. The head light isn't very bright at all. There is no sound volume knob other than using TMCC for sound high or low. The railings and stanchions are plastic. Was it worth 350.00? Only to a nut like me!

Okay Petah, so maybe I'll just wrap some cellophane around me or would you prefer I rub on some vanilla oil?

I'll have some of that chicken Dennis, thanks! And if you have some extras of whatever Sandy is giving you to give you that serenity, I'll have some too! I brought a little mellowloaf for those of us that like a good (and happy) smoke. Feel free to partake!

Thanks, Dennis. That's tasty.

If the oils hot, let's do some hush puppies.

But no prarie oysters, unless Jon wants to get some. I find that intimidating.
