Petey,

I was seeing a friend off from the front yard and staring up at it. Then the lyrics from a Bob Dylan song came into my head and now they don't go away. It's alright. I like them.

...And I was standin' on the side of the road
Rain fallin' on my shoes
Heading out for the East Coast
Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through,
Tangled up in blue...

San, great song from a great album!
Another-

Buckets of rain
Buckets of tears
Got all them buckets comin' out of my ears.
Buckets of moonbeams in my hand,
I got all the love, honey baby,
You can stand.

I been meek
And hard like an oak
I seen pretty people disappear like smoke.
Friends will arrive, friends will disappear,
If you want me, honey baby,
I'll be here.

Like your smile
And your fingertips
Like the way that you move your lips.
I like the cool way you look at me,
Everything about you is bringing me
Misery.

Little red wagon
Little red bike
I ain't no monkey but I know what I like.
I like the way you love me strong and slow,
I'm takin' you with me, honey baby,
When I go.

Life is sad
Life is a bust
All ya can do is do what you must.
You do what you must do and ya do it well,
I'll do it for you, honey baby,
Can't you tell?

Me and The Red are catching the DL&W, then the Wilkes Barre and Eastern RR, to catch Will in a play at the Shawnee Playhouse. He's playing 'Scrooge', which will be quite a stretch for him. Should be a hoot!

I'll take a collective 'hello' to him, from the rest of this motley crew of scurfs, hoodlems, and crooks.

Petey,

That I would like to see. Tiny Tim or Marley's Ghost would have been less of a stretch. Do give him our best wishes and invite him over for a drink.

I Take full responsibility.
That silly thesbian inside of me.
From hither to yon
And from here I wish
One fish, two fish
Red fish, blue fish. :D

See what happens when you condomize a Hudson? Of course, this is the 21st century, and we do advocate safe locomotion.

Trouble is, this can be horribly bungled. These images speak for themselves...

Jon,

I have been seeking Dufus in the Standard Gauge world. Instead of him, I found a list of screeds posted on the door of the 840 Power Station.

POEM WRITTEN ON A PARKING TICKET

The next morning,
The bright sun a lash,
The clear air a void of horrors,
I drive back alone through the day.
(the day like a suspension bridge
being vibrated to pieces in the wind,
In the harsh wind of my hangover.)

What I want is yesterday:
Accelerating into the western sun,
With a good buzz, a good song,
She's beside me, her face overwhelmed by joy.
That's what it is.
That's what it's about.
At least it was then.

Nice one Tramp! I guess you never paid that ticket.

Thank you again for the gift! I'm still stunned by the beauty of it. Wow!

Jon, check your messages.

Tramp, that one got me. Reminds me of Tom Petty's Higher Place...
I remember walking with her in town
Her hair was in the wind
I gave her my best kiss
She gave it back again
When I add up what I've left behind
I don't want to lose no more

[But] if we don't get to a higher place and find somebody
Can help somebody, might be nobody no more

Well, I fool myself and I don't know why
I thought we could ride this out
I was up all night making up my mind
But now I've got my doubts
I got my eye on the waterline
Trying to keep my sense of humor

Your's is better.
