Nawh, you won't want to hear it.
Well, if you insist.
Toward the end of '96, I'd been working in a general service garage, 'til came the day when I told 'im "**** YOU, I QUIT!!!, and then I very foolishly went to work at Nick Chevrolet, Geo, Pontiac. Hated those friggin' cars, but I was used to workin' on 'em, 'cause in a general service 85% of your work is GM. Any way, came the day when I walked off that job at 11:00 in the morning, and walked 2 blocks down the street and put my app in at the Chrysler Dealership. Went to work for them the following Monday. (At $2.00 per flat rate hour more than I was makin' at Chevy. Swore I'd never have to work on them again, (also swore I wouldn't own them any more 'cause I'd bought 2 of them new).
Anyway, we get a lot of cars traded in, and a used car prep that I did a little over a year ago was a Chevrolet Venture Van. So it shows up yesterday, (and 17,500 miles later), with 79,800 miles, and a goddamn Chrysler warranty, and leaking coolant. Runnin' out under the head gasket on the rear cylinder head. They must'a put those engines in those cars with a friggin' shoe horn. The first thing I touched on the damn thing and I'm leavin' DNA out of a long cut on the side of my left arm. Took the whole day today to do the job.
Then on the way home, to add insult to injury, I'm toolin' thru town with my (wounded) arm out the window, and a goddamn wasp got inside my shirt sleeve and nailed me twice on my elbow, and I let go the wheel and slapped and grabbed at my shirt sleeve, and I thought I had the ******, but now I'm gettin nailed on the underside of my arm. (Turned out I only had hold of the torn rolled up cuff of my shirt). Anyway, he got me twice more a'fore I shook 'im out onto the floor of the car and stomped his ***.
Then I got home, found I only had 1 beer left in the 'fridge, no money and 8 days to go 'til payday. What money I got left is so me and Mama Bear can go out Saturday for dinner. (Our 33rd).
Bitch of a day. Murphys' Law as it applies to Mitchell.
