Andre, typically beautiful craftmanship!

*sigh*, another night loading my 16 tons.

Can't remember if I've put this here before, but here's one I liked:

__________________

Every day, a male co-worker walks up very close to a lady standing at
the coffee machine, inhales a big breath of air and tells her that her hair
smells nice.

After a week of this, she can't stand it and takes her complaint to a
supervisor in the personnel department and states that she wants to file
a sexual harassment grievance against him.

The Human Resources supervisor is puzzled by this decision and asks,
"What's sexually threatening about a co-worker telling you your hair
smells nice?"

The woman replies, "It's Keith, the midget."

Dang, Pete! Those glowing coals look pretty nice!!! I just may have to head over to your camp tonight with my bedroll!! It's supposed to drop to 15 degree's here in the south tonight!  I can't use my dang fireplace for extra heat either because when the fire dies out early in the morning it takes every bit of heat in the house right up the flu!!!!!

3 choices there, Jon. A set of glass doors and a combination grate and blower system. That's what I have in my fireplace; the blower sits off to the right and goes into a ductwork that is only 1" high attached to the grate, although I gotta tell ya, I actually get more heat from the fireplace with blower on and doors open. My grate burnt out after 6 years, and started blowin' smoke into the living room, so I don't use the blower any more.

Second choice would be a fireplace insert, but I'd only do that with a larger than average fireplace firebox, 28" or bigger. They use wood or coal.

Third, if you have a big enough hearth in front of the fireplace, a free standing wood or coal stove, and block the fireplace off. I like the looks of the older Buck stoves, or a copycat Warm Morning stove. These are lined with firebrick, are available, (or used to be), with beautiful decorator cast iron tops with nickel plating. Theres a couple of these in the Bass Pro Shops at Springfield, Mo. if you've ever been there. That would be like puttin' a furnace in your family room.

Sounds pretty complicated. I'm just heading over to Dirt's with my bedroll.
