Well that's a very sweet thought Roger, but no, I was joking around as usual.

Didi you ever have one of those days? It started out my daughter went to a tryout for AAU basketball and it ends up with me getting back into coaching basketball. My other daughter had her first date today. Mom thought it was a good idea to take her to his house so I haven't met him, thus now I'm even more cranky. It ends with a Steelers loss and the darn car is acting up.

I'm afraid to run the trains I just might highball them onto the floor.

Hey I can still smile.

What's up with Hev, Jon? Ain't seen anything from him in over a week. Is it that shoulder (or arm) again?

Jon,

You got it brother. That would be tomorrow afternoon PA time, right? I'm praying (starting now) for a successful procedure for the big guy. And Mrs. Hev as well.

Mitch, Hev got himself a serious case of pneumonia which caused an infection and fluid build-up outside his lung. The doc's are going in to remove the infection and drain the build-up.. He'll be in ICU afterwards for the next 24 hours on a ventilator, per his wife calling tonight. If all goes well the big man should be eating turkey at home by Sunday.

Jon beat me to it. Didn't want to say much until the diagnosticians had made up their minds, but the short of it is that Hev has an infection in his left pleural cavity, and he's got a thoracotomy coming tomorrow to try and take care of it. It'll be a tough post-op couple of days. It's a serious problem, and general anesthesia, and he's going to be out of commission for awhile afterwards, so if all ya hobos can say a prayer, bow to Mecca, rub your Buddhas, or chant your mantras, it'll all help for sure.
He's hurting big time, and it's tough to see the big guy who's usually so full of piss and vinegar be laid so low, but he's still got his sense of humor and was ragging me over the phone about tractors when I called to tell him to give 'em hell in the OR tomorrow.
He's a tough ol' hobo, but everything will help, so say an extra one about 1300 tomorrow. That's when he's heading in.
Between Jon or me, we'll keep y'all posted about how he's doing.
