highrailjon wrote:Well, Thanks to my pals Tramp, Hev, and Gary at 3rd Rail the stunning EM1 photos and glowing performance reports have made me the proud owner of a brand new EM1 in the box. Sort of. After I send the 700.00 money order for the down payment. I'll still owe measly 200.00 balance. I figure between the three of you guys a donation of 66.67 should cover the dark path you all have gleefully sent me down. I must be nuts, but this thing is a friggin' beauty. Good-bye Dreyfuss deal. HELLO EM1.

Ya know what they say, Jon? There are only 2 railroads; The B & O, and that other one. :)

Take a look at this and tell me if'n ya ever saw a '55-'57 Chevy Nomad that had dual headlights and tail fins like this one. Wonder if it runs any better than my Lionel Dodge Truck track inspection vehicle?http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270183415544&indexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting

Looks like a '57 Plymoth Savoy Wagon to me.

Jon, any news on the early vs. late? Though I looked through piles of MTH, Atlas, 3rd Rail, Lionel catalogues, I couldn't find the one we needed.

Tramp, Thanks for looking into it!!! I dug through a pile of old issues myself last night. I'll try to get a hold of Gary today when they open. He should know.

Tramp, If you can locate your EM1 box I'm sure it will say "late" or "early" on it. I know this persons says "early". Jon

Mine is a late one, meaning the final configuration of the engine.
