Cow Falls Off Cliff and Hits Van
(11-06) 13:47 PST Manson, Wash. (AP) --
Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel when their minivan was struck by a falling object — a 600-pound cow. The Eversons were unhurt but the cow, which had fallen off a cliff, had to be euthanized.
The year-old cow fell about 200 feet from the cliff and landed on the hood of the couple's minivan, causing heavy damage.
A Chelan County fire chief, Arnold Baker, said the couple missed being killed by a matter of inches in the accident Sunday on a highway near Manson.
The Eversons, visiting the area from their home in Westland, Mich., to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, were checked at Lake Chelan Community Hospital as a precaution.
Everson, 49, said he didn't see the cow falling and didn't know what happened until afterward.
He said he kept repeating: "I don't believe this. I don't believe this."
Umm the question if the insurance agree!

Since the fires, I just have not had the gumption to BBQ or run the smoker (God forbid, the neighbors would probably evacuate). Been doing white trash recipes. Comfort food. Tonight was mac and cheese (Cooks Illustrated recipe, not Kraft) and
Round Steak and Ketchup
1 pound tenderized round steak
Flour
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons cooking oil
6 tablespoons ketchup
Coca-Cola
Flour, salt and pepper steak. Brown steak with onion on both sides
using cooking oil. Add ketchup and enough Coke to cover steak. Bring
to a boil and then simmer until sauce is thick and steak is tender.
I could probably start a number of feuds over on the other side. Is it ketchup or catsup? Do they prefer Mayo or Miracle Whip. Is Heilman's better than Best Foods? Would anyone in Chicago put ketchup (or catsup) on a Chicago Dog?
But it's peaceful in the camp and I'll let sleeping dogs lie.

Hm, that's funny, it makes me cringe whenever someone puts a hotdog on perfecly nice ketchup!
Andre, there's nothing better than when you go nuts on cranes, I'll tell you that right off. Then also, I love that one, wicked patina. MORE CRANES!!! We want more cranes. It's very cool you love making such things. I used to make freezer trees. Maybe I'll make some this winter. Even I am a modeler!

I knew it Daisy,,,,,I saw this comming for a long time!
It's like, eventually, the velocity of an on comming petrolizer moving at an obscure angle, close to, but not hitting a relaxed frog on a cool evening in a distant area would be observed eventually by all,,,,ya know?
I think a really open mind would think of ketchup and cranes and then realize, the crane operator, while eating a hot dog, longed for some ketchup and didn't have any,,,,,,,,,and thought,,,,,Damn it!,,,,,,

Okay. When you hobos begin growling about the other side, I tend to have ta take a look. And I usually regret it. But this time I was kinda taken aback. If Jon isn't a enormously wonderful member of this forum, then who is? His fantastic modeling photos aside, his generous nature aside, his humor which has slain me repeatedly aside, who else knows more about the flight patterns of burst inflatable love dolls than him? Answer me that. Frankly, I don't think there's an exception.
