Dennis, Once again thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to share your talents!!! I'm now subscribed with CTT with the promise of getting the December issue just in time for my layout rebuild!

On a sad note, our dog Pluto of 16 plus years had to be put to sleep this morning. This playful, vigilant, and loyal friend will be missed.
A silent farewell toast at Gomers is in order tonight.

I'll certainly buy a round for the house in Pluto's memory. Jon, sorry to hear that, brother. Do you have a picture of him?

Dennis, I've been hesitant to ask, but I hope Picasso is holding as well as can be expected. It's odd how attached you can become to pets. (No jokes please.)

Here's a shot of the lad. He's the black dog. My wife actually named him after the planet Pluto. I got to thinking, that of all the trips I ever made out to the train house that dog was right there with me just curled up on the carpet listening to the engines run and sharing my company.

My condolences on the passing of Pluto. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like quite the train running companion and all around dog.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Dogs are definitely better than people, unadultarated pure love to their owner with nothing asked for but supper.

My condolences there Bro. Know what your going thru. Set up another round for the memories of Pluto.

We had to deal with losing 2 last year within 6 mos.

We have another dog now. His name is Chancz. Here is Patty with him at Rough & Tumble Saturday. He sorta looks like Pluto.................................... :)

A round on me, guys. These are sad and serious times. Pets absolutely become a natural part of the family, and it is just like losing a human loved one when they depart, or worse, have to be put down 'cause they're suffering.

6 years ago, the week before Christmas, our Great Dane, Jackson, was killed on the highway about 300 yards from the house. We were absolutely devastated. The weekend of Christmas, we went to the same breeder and got another little pup, Major Winston, brother of Jackson, from the same parents. He just turned 6 Sept. 30. I am so attached to that dog, I don't know what I'll do when he goes. Last year we had to put our other little dog down. He was 15, choked with arthritis in his withers, and the poor little guy couldn't hardly eat any more. The other monster Great Dane, Marshall, (the meathead), is only 3 and 170lbs. These large breed dogs don't live nearly as long as smaller breeds. I can't see having any other dogs but Danes from now on.

Just after New Years in '02, we had the Invisible Fence installed. My dogs will not leave the yard, now. Best $1100 I ever spent.

So I offer my condolences, and propose a toast in the memory of Jon's Pal. Salute
