Hobo Jungle
u
Well, I'm home and just got finished readin' 11 pages of Jungle since I've been gone. Looks like everyone was eatin' good, havin' a good time at the tractor shows, mowin' the south 40, and one guy actually added somethin' to the train layout.
You're all wrong about the size of the fish. Fishin' was extremely tough with high winds, (20mph plus) for the first 3 1/2 days. Oh yeah, we were pickin' up walleyes here and there, but none even big enough for our shore lunch. On Wed. afternoon, the wind started dyin' down to a manageable 3-5mph, and it got overcast, and my son and I got into a good spot and we really spanked those fish, finally gettin' some nice 16 to 18 inchers for shore lunch the next day. Then after supper, we went out an smacked 'em some more. Thursday's fishin' was about average, but that evening the wind came back. And Friday mornin' was more of the same, overcast with high winds again, and rain. About 2pm it started rainin' really hard. Although we were wearin' rain gear, the rain coupled with up to 30 mph gusts, took the starch right out of us, and we went back to camp at about 2:40pm.
For the whole trip, my biggest fish was only 19", and don't even ask about the beer drinkin'. We got up there on Friday evenin', and stayed at the Quality Inn before goin' into camp on Sat. morning. We polished off a case and a half of Labatts Blue, and me and Roger went through a 5th of Yukon Jack. I was in pretty bad shape Sat. mornin' before coffee and breakfast. It put me outta sorts for the rest of the week. When you get on the Whiskey, let somebody else drive!
So, for right now, we got pancakes and sausage, and steamin' Maxwell House coffee. Belly up!

If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.
Welcome Mitch!!
Sorry about the wind ruin your trip...but anyway is something.
I remember when I was I fisherman, and some trips took weeks before catch something serious. It was in south Chile, good place for trout and river salmons.
So now you must to show Us the balance:

well that's very sweet, but Tramp's answer was way cooler. That should give him the edge. Hey, if you're sending something, it's the same address either way! And you already know it. We can fight over it up here.
ps. how'd you get that photo anyway? i thought that was in the drawer of the night table.
