I'll buy a Labor Day round. I'm out flying my Strato Steak and sucking icy cold 50s. Here's to the working man. And woman.
That a life will be spent gaining inches,
When this distance is read in miles.

Beer and Love

a poem by Daisy

Beer and Love are forever entwined
for if you have no love,
what use is it to sip and sip and sip
only to pee alone in the bathroom.
But when you have Love, you must have Beer!
for all you want then is to sip with your love
and sip and sip and sip.

Yeah, we had a awesome time with Hev and Patty. Great food, cold beer, a ton of laughs, and a toast to the fellow-hobos.

Hev brought up some fresh butcher-steaks that he had marinating on their drive up. Best GD steaks I ever had, without exception. The dude even went to the trouble to bring up his charcoal grill (me only having propane), and a big steamer-pot for cooking some corn I bought from a local roadside stand. That was some good eating!!
They came up in the Hevy Chevy, not only to carry the grill, but so that they wouldn't bottom-out in any of my driveway ruts. I was grinning from ear-to-ear when I heard it approaching from about a half-mile away. Luckily, none of the windows shattered from the bark out the stack!

Hev and Patty are as genuine and down-to-earth as people can get. My kids adore them. I'm both humbled and proud to have them consider me a friend.

Take a look at the dark object on the top right, do you notice the Baretta symbol?

However being a country boy we just make sure to do the castrating of the bulls every time the first boy friend comes to the farm. It works much better than cleaning the shotguns on the porch.
