Hev appears to be riding in a Baldwin DT6-6-24[00] also referred to as a RT624. 24 were built with PRR getting 23 and the other went to the Minneapolis Northfield and Southern.ATSF had 7 DT6-6-20's.
Back about 1952 I got a cab ride in one of Pennsy's for about four miles. It was loud and rough.Coal train.

Jon,
I was 18 and at that time it was no big deal.I had ridden in the cabs of PRR 2-8-0,2-8-2,2-10-0,0-6-0 .It was my first Diesel cab ride. All were short trips,1 to 5 miles. The smart-alec teen-ager [me] never forgot. And boy did I brag to my friends.
Never got to ride the others but did get in the cabs of some when they were at the roundhouse.I really do not remember details but never will forget the incidents.

My first time I had ridden on diesel cab was In Baldwin city KS.
few years ago on a very rare engine half alco R2 and half GP7
the trip was long and cold, because the cab heater didn't work.
Jon, I forgot to buy muriatic acid, so I just use sand paper to clean.
I used it on copper and brass
before:
After:
Looks blue, but is black, glossy black.
