Hev and all you tractor guys,

I'm amazed by the complicated simplicity of the older tractors and farm

machinery.Apparently they are like old locomotives;with care, they just keep

going.Beautiful equipment.

Yea Hev,
They're making corn silage by hand. Don't know any more about the grinders. Sorry.

Tractor Jungle indeed!
Seems to me there's a lot in common between trains and tractors. Beautiful old iron, built for pure function, meant to do hard work without frills yet the old stuff still showing the ingenuity and the art of the craftsman, both making Life immeasurably easier than horse and buggy/horse and plow.
Tractor folk have passion, in buckets. Same as the train folks. Both types of iron deeply stir the nostalgia, and the sense of history.
Easy to see why people drawn to one would be drawn to the other. Plus, there one hell of a lot easier to find, to own, and with which to congregate!

Wish you hobos could hear a steam tractor running under full power, but live and in person. You'd be grinning from ear to ear. 8)
Meanwhile, here's a poor facsimile:

Well, there you go! No valve cover necessary! How'd you like to have all THIS clicking away, right in your lap, while you're driving your tractor? There's the steering shaft, going up to the right. Gawd, I LOVE this tractor!

Beautiful beautiful pictures, you hobo.
What a gorgeous restoration! 8)

Rough and Tumble, folks. See all this stuff running, chugging, puffing, smoking, and clanking, right in front of you. Like you climbed out of a Time Machine. Unreal! :D 8)

Hey Guys,
Nice pic of the old farm equipment.
There is to be a tractor and impliment show at the Carrol County Farm Museum the weekend after Labor Day.
It's in Westminster Maryland.
Alot of vintage farm stuff, hit n miss engines,an operating saw mill (tractor and belt driven of course)Steam and more.
Maybe I'll see ya there. 8)
