Nothin' special there, Tramp. If you're just checkin' the adjustment, (or even if you take 'em out, clean 'em and repack 'em), just tighten them down with a pair of channel locks to 0 clearance, give 'em a little jerk tighter, then put the serrated lock back on, and back it off to the first hole for the cotter pin. I like to have the wheel on, grab the top and bottom of the wheel, and shake it in and out. You just need a few thousandths of clearance for the bearing to expand when it gets warm. Put the cotter key in and the cap on, and you're good to go. I don't like to use a wrench or socket as it may be over-tightened. The object is to make sure the bearing is fully seated in the race, then back off to gain a wee bit of clearance.

Well the towing bill to the dealership was 180.00.(70 mile trip with Bubba ) If it's the torque convertor, her cousin said a new one was 200.00. I'm not sure about the labor yet.

I think I know what it is, Jon, and the differences aren't that subtle. It don't have the friggin' pilot sittin' 18 feet out in front of it. It's compact and huge, all at the same time. Probably the 3rd best lookin' engine there was behind a Hudson or a Berk.
