Been busy all week gittin' our 1967 C-95 Mack fire truck ready for the antique fire truck night at the Bird in Hand Pa Restaurant. ( No playin' with trains this week) So Fri night I went to show it off.

There was a 1918 American La France there from New Holland Pa. Man.........was this thing sharp lookin'. They had this truck from Day 1 and restored it recently. It looks better now then it did brand new.


Also there was a..................

1950 Mack from Akron, Pa
1952 Mack from Blue Ball, Pa
1947 Mack from New Holland Pa
Early 1900 Model T Ford from Paradise Pa................(Strasburg Railroad Country)
and other trucks.

I was looking at the pics on the R&T website from the 2006 thresherman's reunion. Dang, there was a SH*TLOAD I missed. Can't wait for August!

Well, busy morning. Coached the soccer team to a 3-3 tie. The real coach had to be out of town a-GAIN. Then only 7 kids showed up, so they had to play the whole game. Their poor asses were dragging. The other team had 6 subs. 3 of our 5 best players weren't there. We should have dominated. As it was, the other team got the tying goal with 30 seconds left in the game. Our right-defenseman wouldn't move because he was pissed he didn't get to be keeper.
Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to kick a kid's *** on the field.
Shame though, under those circumstances, when 6 of the 7 work their hearts out.

Since home, I've gotten the fence around the pen, (6 ft. Let's see a coyote figure his way over THAT!), and now I've got to nail some on the door, and we're good to go. The sheep are already up at the top of the hill, and my daughter's all mooned-eyed at me to get me to hurry up.

We were to get a ram and a ewe, but my FIL came home with 2 ewes.

(Guess I'll be set if the redhead ever leaves me. Menage-a-trois!)

Excerpts from a Cat's Diary
Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.
In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow --but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now . . .
