Tramp- You're the BEST!!!!! I did as you said and "dropped" the gearbox away from the drive gear and the drivers rolled true and "quartering" was perfect. I checked from the gearbox front to back and found the end bearing shaft below the motor had slipped out just enough to cause the jam. She's runnin' strong on the layout tonight!!! I'm not completely out of the woods yet, though. On a couple of my 72 Dia. curves she's wanting to derail (front drivers comes up) I'm hoping it may just need a pilot truck adjustment. Either that or you were right about driver problem. Thanks, Bro.

Jon, Your SF Texas may have the same problems the PRR J1a had. Are all the axles are sprung? If so you may need to remove the springs on the front axle and install shims. I had problems with my Js and a shim kit from 3rd Rail repaired the problem.

Wake up, hobos! We got supersmoked bacon, griddle cakes, fresh Log Cabin syrup, and boiling hot coffee for breakfast. 'Course, if you can't eat on an empty stomach, there's still some cold beer down in the creek! Anybody in?

Hey, count me in, buddy! I'll have me a cup of that joe, and God bless ya fer making it.

What is it about that first cup of hot coffee on a cold morning? The anticipation from those wisps of steam curling up from the spout of that old tin pot, and that first slug of hot joe sliding down your throat... I don't know, there's just no day where it ain't like some religious experience. Almost like getting lai..., well..., almost. Swear to God it is!

I wonder if Tramp ever wrote a poem to coffee.

Thanks for the cup of joe, Mitch!! I gotta drink it on the run as this "good" Catholic boy is off to mass.

Kurt!! Thanks for the tip!! I was thinking it was something to do with a front wheel/driver repair. I'll holler at Gary tomorrow> Jon

Hev and San, thanks for the Christmas light pictures. Not too many houses have lights on them out here. Not sure what that means. I really enjoy seeing the lights, and considering it gets dark at around 4:30 this time of year, it seems extra cheerful. Are people in your areas decorating less?

I have a neighbor whose husband just died so I strung her some lights on the other side of the house so she can see them. She keeps her Christmas tree on her porch lit all night. It has those big old-fashioned multi-colored bulbs. When I can't sleep it cheers me up to look out at it from the window.

Jon, good news on the monster. I think it was the derailing problems I remember. I glued a lead weight to the front truck of my 3751 to keep it down, but it sounds like the drivers are climbing the rail in your case. Thanks for the call. We attended two parties last night.

Pete, you might want to be careful comparing sex with your wife to anything. A cup of coffee?
