We took a leaf run last weekend to my hometown of Gorham, NH. The peak was past for most of the drive except in southern western Maine. There we had the full show. Pete, I'm putting finish oil over my mix. The weird thing is that you can't buy exterior oil house paint any longer. What's up with that?

Kurt, 50% is being too generous...
York is a neat feeding frenzy, but, my interest in 3 rail is as a postwar OPERATOR, the way God and J.L. Cowen intended!

I have made some really good deals on postwar, (junkers mostly, I love restoring that stuff to run again) and 2 rail can be had for a song at York!

I also picked up some Weaver old drive in 3 rail, and converted them to 2 rail for less that $30 bucks.

I'm probally going to Altoona, definatly to Bedford. A dealer in Altoona has a 3 rail Weaver RS-3 that I can use for the drive line under that GP-35, and it be CHEEEEP!!!

Hev, I'm in LUST for that there Shay!

Anyone remember the "Beer Car" car kits that Walthers did back in the 70s? That would be a good start on a Beer Tank Car.

For that matter, Hev, put a Keg on a pair of trucks and pull it with that Shay!

Hev, you da man!
That is the best GD popcorn I've ever had in my life!!

Me and the redhead got it hid away from the kids. Let them eat Orville's. Man, this stuff is to SAVOR! Unbelieveable flavor.

And boys, I've been deflowered. First taste of apple butter I've ever had. Hev sent me a tub. I'm a virgin no longer! 8)

Kim makes homemade applesauce, but this is a different fish altogether. Delicious, with a faint tang of wood smoke, and an aftertaste that lingers like a **** **** to a ***** ****!

Hev, our appreciation! You the hobo!! :D 8)

A woman and her boyfriend are out having a few drinks.

While they're sitting there having a good time together, she starts talking
about this really great new drink. The more she talks about it, the more
excited she gets and the more she starts trying to talk her boyfriend into
having one.

After awhile he gives in and lets her order the drink for him.

The bartender brings the drink and puts the following on the bar:
A saltshaker, a shot of Baileys and a shot of lime juice.

The boyfriend looks at the items quizzically and the woman explains,
"First you put a dash of the salt on your tongue; next you drink the shot
of Baileys and hold it in your mouth, then finally you drink the lime
juice."

So the boyfriend, trying to go along and please her, goes for it.

He puts the salt on his tongue -- salty but OK.

He drinks the shot of Baileys -- smooth, rich, cool, very pleasant. He
thinks this is OK.

Finally he picks up the lime juice and drinks it.

In one second, the sharp lime taste hits...

At two seconds, the Baileys curdles in his mouth.

At three seconds, the salty curdled bitter taste hits.

This triggers his gag reflex, but being manly, and not wanting to
disappoint his girlfriend, he swallows the now nasty-tasting concoction.
When he finally chokes it down, he turns to his girlfriend and asks,
"Jesus, what do you call that drink?"

She just smiles at him, and says.........

"BJ Revenge."

Oh Jeez, I haven't seen Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, not to mention that HELLACIOUS CLEAVAGE, for a long time. At the time her show was on it was surprising what she was able to get away with.

All around the country and coast to coast
People always say, "what do you like most?"
I don't want to brag, I don't want to boast
I always tell 'em, "I like toast."
YEAH, TOAST!!
YEAH, TOAST!!

I get up in the morning 'bout 6 A.M.
Have a little jelly, have a little jam
Take a piece of bread, put it in the slot
Push down the lever and the wires get hot, I get toast.
YEAH, TOAST!!
YEAH, TOAST!!

Now, there's no secret to toasting perfection
There's a dial on the side and you make your selection
Push it to the 'dark' or the 'light' and then
If it pops too soon, press down again, make toast.
YEAH, TOAST!!
YEAH, TOAST!!

When the first caveman drove in from the drags
Didn't know what would go with the bacon and eggs
Must have met a genius, got it in his head
Plug a toaster in the wall, buy a bag of bread, make toast.
YEAH, TOAST!!
YEAH, TOAST!!

Oui Monsieur, bonjour coquette
Une croissant? Et vous auvent?
Maurice Chevalier, Eiffel Tower
Oui Marie, baguette, bonsoir!
FRENCH TOAST!!
FRENCH TOAST!!

From Maine to Pennsy, Missip, San Diego
Hobos 'cross the nation all love to bellow
TOAST!!

(thanks to HB)

Yeah Pete, what's with pushing down the slide to make toast? A true hobo uses a forked stick and keeps his bread about a foot over the glowing coals of the campfire.

Hev, I'm with ya there. How 'bout those 4 tined 3 foot long hotdog forks? Multitasking at its best.
