TOKYO, Japan, September 8, 2005 - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today announced it has succeeded in developing the world’s first production motorcycle airbag system. The new system, which can help lessen the severity of injuries caused by frontal collisions, is to be made available on the new Gold Wing motorcycle scheduled for release in late spring of 2006 in the US.

Saw something on that on the Discovery Channel.
Seems the Brits want to cut down on motorcycle deaths, and rather that having people accept personal responsibility, the Brit Govt. is stepping in to save them from themselves.
(sound familiar?)
Hmm, kind like mandating Electronic Stability Control (another reason to HAVE to take your car to the "stealer" eeerrrr Dealer!)
Nothing puts a burr in my Seatbox like government "looking out for my well being"
