Octopuses have beaks? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Squid-Whiz maybe keeps fine in the back seat. But I'm not sure.

Octopus's have beaks?

If I was a pirate, I would rather have a parrot with a beak on my shoulder then an octopus. Somehow an octopus would probably be to smelly or slimey or something. And then those darn tentacles would always be getting in your way while you're trying to light your beard on fire to plunder another ship. But that's just me.

Wow, my compliments to the gardener! For BOTH plots.

I'll say it again, it sure looks beautiful there.

Have I ever spoken of how I HATE groundhogs? Little b*st*rds that ruin your fields, bring up mounds of dirt and rock? Bounce your tractor all the way to Sunday and beat the living sh*t outa the bushhog blades, because their holes are hidden in the vegetation? Little wretched miserable useless purposeless sons-a-b*tches.

It's driven me to poetry.

How do I despise thee? Let me count the ways.
I despise thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Misery and ideal Rage.
I despise thee to the level of every day's
Most beer-starved need, by sun and candlelight.
I despise thee freely, as I strive to mow;
I despise thee purely, as I turn for another row,
I despise thee with every cloud of dirt raised
with every gnashing of rocks on dulling blades.
I despise thee with a hate that seems to grow
With every thought of stomping with my size 10 Timberlands the last gasping breath from your cold dead bodies,
I despise thee with every heartbeat of all my life!
And, if God choose, I shall but despise thee better after death.

Anybody share my pain?

Jon, ol' friend, ol' pal, ol' buddy, I'm in need of some bunker-busters.

Hehehehe, I'm owed a few favors yet, say the A-10s in Baltimore...
Just need a GPS grid...
I hate them little f@#K3Rs too. Broke a spindle on the ferguseon several years ago when I hit one of their G-D holes!
Mr. 6mm Magnum did my talking for a few days after that!

Pete, There may be a better way to rid your state of these pests. As you know, down south we're some pretty frugal people. Theres not to much down here that flies, crawls, swims, slithers, or hops, that does'nt escape our fryin' pans. :D I would recommend some really great groundhog reciepes, then invite the south up for open season to culminate in a bassboat prize to whoever kills the most varmints. :D

Weren't there some West Virginia boys we were going to send to Pakistan after telling them Osama killed Dale Earnhart?

Well, that ain't the way it happened. A groundhog wandered out on the track and got under his right front tire.

1 small groundhog. (the big ones are tough and gamy)
2 eggs beaten
1 cup milk
1/2 stick of real butter
2 cups flour
2 tbs fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger

12" well seasoned cast iron skillet with lid

cut groundhog into 6 pcs (legs and cut the back in half just behind the ribs)

beat eggs in large bowl and stir in milk

combine dry ingredients in large bowl or piepan

soak all pieces of meat in egg wash then dredge thoroughly thru dry ingredients. repeat if necessary

Fire up the cast iron skillet and melt the butter, then add meat to brown on all sides. Turn the heat down low and cover. Fry on low about 10 minutes, then turn. Fry 'til done.

Bon Appetite!!

Mitch, LOL!
If I ever get to shoot a groundhog, I won't be cooking it. I'll be nailing it to a fieldside tree with a big sign that sez "YOU'RE NEXT".

Jon, we took the three kids to Camel Beach Water Park(tm) monday.
http://www.camelbeach.com/?nav=content_parkmap
Unbelievable crowds. 45-60 minute waits for 10-30 second rides down one kind of flume or another. Excruciatingly long day. Sunburned, all.

I only mention this because I got word you've got a date to keep in September.

You poor b*stard.

The only thing that slightly sweetened the pot for me was all of THIS (see pic below) that was walking around...

...which YOU won't have.

You poor b*stard. :D
