3D Printer B&B M27f

Postby RDSRR » Fri Oct 16, 2026 3:56 pm

Ryan Tamburrino's STL files. Finally have a printer to handle this, printed using a Jupiter2 All the extra parts and pieces along with stuff in my junk drawers.

These two are just about ready for paint. Heading up to Caboose Stop Hobbies for the weekend to pick up stuff and see Carol and hopefully Merlyn.

There will be an article on printing and building this car in an up coming issue of The O Scale Resource Magazine for those of you who like torture
The bus is another story...

That is spectacular! I am waiting for the back end of a Milwaukee Skytop, so I can send it to a brass foundry.
Nice work!

Impressive - 3D printing continues to advance in quality and appearance. You can barely see the layering in the print, and I suspect that might not be noticeable at all after paint is applied.

Hopefully, costs of production of 3D freight car "kits" will routinely get under $100 a car.........
Most of the trouble in the world is caused by people wanting to be important.

I agree, the detail and crispness is amazing. Look forward to the article.
