Thanks! Little details make things "interesting".. Same trucks that would be under a regular 40' tank car. Probably put a pair of Andrews under it to finish it off.

Have to wait a day or more on painting - not warm and too damp.

I need some R&R now after a day of mowing and brush clearing; battery powered chain saw might be lighter but I'm not got the endurance. A few snags, some odd logs and tree tops, and then a freshly toppled white pine, and I've got to sit down a bit. Luckily, I've got 2 seats in my shop....and good music to putter about with...

Boy, do I resemble that comment. No matter how good of day I'm having, after 4-5 hours of working in the yard or projects in the house I'm toast. Many times too exhausted to even want to mess with trains. Golden years huh. :D

Always something different and interesting. Also seemingly a very quick builder! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!! There have been so many interesting and unique prototype cars that hold my interest.

Also seemingly a very quick builder! Thanks for sharing.

While I am prone to having several projects ongoing in parallel, I have not been so inclined for much of this year. However, I apparently rediscovered that proclivity and have no less than 5 projects active right now. That does give the illusion of rapidity, but this practice really just optimizes time spent in the shop and not wasted watching glue and paint dry.

Something just for fun and to use up a project box of parts:

Scratch but there were a handful of metal parts in a baggie in the project box. Cupola and end platforms were probably QC or Gloor in origin. Odds & ends laying about and I have the basswood in the shop. Milled roof was the annoying bit but nibbled away with the little table saw to get it undercut.
