There is one rule to follow when using a credit card: Never charge an amount that you cannot pay off at the end of the billing period. The interest will eat you alive.

Know when your billing cycle ends, and make your purchases immediately after your cards monthly closing date. Use the "float" to your advantage. Set you card payment due date 3 or 4 days (or long enough for a mailed payment to arrive) after your monthly income arrivals. Use any cash back payment earned toward paying your monthly bill.

The 1st thing Biden did was his war on fossil fuel which caused everything to be more expensive, It's 100 % Bidens fault.

Biden signs bill forcing rail unions to accept agreement, averting crippling strike
Biden acknowledges rail union deal does not include paid sick leave, says 'that fight isn't over'

The bill he signed makes the railroad strike illegal. If the union and the workers can't go on strike.

THE FIGHT IS OVER....

Reagan did it too. He jumped all over the airline unions.

You might also note that that was a bipartisan bill from Congress.

Nothing new - been done ~16 times in the past....which really tells you there's a long standing problem.

Reagan did it too. He jumped all over the airline unions.

That was the Air Traffic Controllers in '81 - and they actually were an illegal strike and they ended up getting getting fired and banned from being rehired.

You do know that the air traffic controllers were federal employees. Right And it was illegal for them to go on strike.

A solemn oath taken by each of these employees, a sworn affidavit, when they accepted their jobs: 'I am not participating in any strike against the Government of the United States or any agency thereof, and I will not so participate while an employee of the Government of the United States or any agency thereof.'"

And much to their chagrin, they did lose their jobs and were never hired back. I bumped into quite a few back in the day and even had some apply for jobs. Sad affair with a great deal of bitterness on their parts, but government employees can't strike. I can't remember all the details, but I know most regretted their action. That was a high paying job and their life styles changed completely for most and their families.

Yup. They thought Reagan was bluffing and that they could not be replaced. They found out that there are graveyards are full of indispensable men...

I was 12 when this took place. I took so time to read up on it. They wanted an arm and a leg. 32 hour work weeks and $10,000 a year more. Their strike only cancelled 7000 flights. that is about 20 percent. Why don't they fire teachers for striking?

This should turn out to be interesting.

US presidential election 2024: Biden pushes to re-shuffle early states
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63837311

A souvenir store in Des Moines, Iowa's state capital, sells T-shirts that read: "Iowa: For some reason, you have to come here to be president."

That may be about to change - for the Democrats, at least.

For more than half a century, the states of Iowa and New Hampshire have played an oversized role in determining the presidential nominees for both the Democratic and Republican parties.

The power of these relatively small states comes from their position at the top of the four-year presidential nomination calendar, giving voters in the two states the first go at selecting their preferred nominees.

On Friday, Democratic National Committee leaders voted to approve President Joe Biden's plan to make South Carolina the first presidential primary election for his party in 2024. Nevada and New Hampshire would jointly follow three days later, followed by Georgia and then Michigan in subsequent weeks.

Ever see what the NEA pays their top brass? Teachers should be angered by it.

Don’t really need to. I know that the teachers unions and the Democrats have one big incestuous love affair that will never change. Didn’t Reagan suggest getting rid of the Board of Education? That would be a good start.
