Kids had a hot game of marbles going on and the motor man wanted in on the action?

Red Cross trolley:

Captioned:
"Red Cross trolley to transport wounded from hospital ships to Boston hospitals. First electric trolley equipped in this country for the transportation of wounded from hospital ships to hospitals. This car was equipped by the Red Cross officials in Boston. The car will carry 24 men, is supplied with cots and emergency kits."
c. 1917-1920, Library of Congress.

Very interesting trolley; partial open car; single 4 wheel truck, maybe? Unique cars like this make trolley/traction modeling fun!

Looks like the plan was to hang stretchers from straps to create a two-tier transport. Doesn't look like it made for a comfortable ride for the wounded.

Well, it probably beat horse drawn wagons/ambulances over cobblestone or dirt roads, I'd guess?
Might make in interesting model........
