Stove on a streetcar...can't say I've ever seen that, but then I've never been to Minneapolis in January.

It probably has a few radiators onboard. there is a black iron pipe behind that heater. It's also a new photo. Likes like a modern early 90's Subaru in the left side window.

I never realized FM was in the gas-motor business, especially that far back. Pretty interesting.

I haven't been up to Mt. Gretna in a very long time. That and Hopewell Furnace make for a good day.

Charles City Western Railway car no. 50:



This line offered freight and passenger service between Charles City and Marble Rock, Iowa, where it had a connection with the Rock Island.

Very nice. I presume that is a restoration.
Don't suppose that is a Rock Island loco in the background do you?

The record doesn't provide a location, but it's a relatively recent photo, so I'm presuming it's at a museum somewhere. No info on the locomotive in the background.

That is one big open car. Connecticut...they must have used it for late-July until mid-August.

That's what caught my eye about it - large open car. I've always wanted a model of an open car but a smaller one. Seems they are a bit pricey and then you need a full under floor drive for it as well. Maybe some day; maybe never. I'll get over it,

The steeplecabs that were for sale yesterday at the Strasburg meet could have come home with me.............but didn't.

Here is a model of a Sperry Rail Service diesel motor powered car created from either a new NY City Transit Authority IRT R-17 or R-21 body shell approx. in 1956 - this vehicle was never used in subway service - roof was too high as this car was rebuilt-modified by Sperry to be a rail diesel car - 3 photo links below; This is Sperry rail Car # 140
