That is not required to meet the legal requirement of "sedition" or inciting insurrection, as we are about to find out, when probably 50-55 senators, or perhaps more, vote to retroactively remove him from office, and if that happens, vote by simple majority that he can never hold office again. We will see, but encouraging insurrection (attempts to overthrow the government) is easily demonstrated from his actions, much less his words.

I see a trail by senate is not the same as a jury trail.

It's not a trail, but a trial, and the entire Senate is the jury. The process is well defined.

We are headed for a one party system with the democrats in total control and the people will vote for that . Won't be much different from the way China, Russia and a few other countries operate with their dictators.

There are already democrats in congress proposing to send conservatives and Trump supporters to concentration camps to be reprogrammed to the way that they think. Like the Chinese are doing with the Uighur. Before they can do that they will have to disarm this country complete. Like Hitler did in Germany

I'm pretty sure he loses all of his perks. Same as if he had been removed BEFORE his term expired. The ban on running again (which is the primary focus) is a separate vote and only requires a simple majority if he is convicted.

The insurrection was self documented (big mistake, to all would be criminals, leave your cell phones home or at least turn them off) and the sheeple caught are claiming "he told me to do it" while the wolves are being identified from all of the inane social media posts by the sheeple. Another tip, don't try to hide amongst people with camera phones taking picture of everything going on. You will stand out like a sore thumb and be easily identified. You can't make this stuff up.

BTW, some of the "base" is already eroding. They have lost faith in his "pronouncements" and therefore in him.
