Why?"

One veteran FDNY member told the Post that the resistance toward the vaccine is a source of frustration.

“The 55 percent doesn’t surprise me. They’re called the Bravest, not the Smartest,” the FDNY member said.

“It’s saving their lives, and the lives of their co-workers, families, friends, and the people they take care of. They respond to live-threatening medical emergencies. The last thing you want is a family member in dire straits being worked on by an unvaccinated firefighter.”

Philly news keeps claiming " The vaccine is not approved yet" they also claim " 75 percent of black people and latin x don't trust Doctors with this vaccine" That could be why NYC firefighters have a high percentage of refusal.

So? I have not heard that the FDA review committee has even met yet so it's not approved as far as I know.

the governor of NJ makes it sound like Dec. 21 they will start to vaccinate people. Minorities have a huge distrust for the medical community. If NYC have a large minority population in their fire department. That would count for a large percentage not wanting a vaccine.

Reading that seems to be a lot of pot stirring and incitement designed to promote distrust.

And, it still reads like someone who is intent on pot stirring and incitement promote distrust.

The FDA vaccine advisory group will review the two earliest vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna on Dec. 10 and 17 and almost certainly will approve their use.

Enough states have certified their election results and have chosen Biden committed electors so that when the Electoral College meets on Dec. 14th, Joe Biden will be elected President with more than 270 votes, and that result will be approved by the House and the Senate as a matter of routine. It's over.

"According to federal law, both chambers of Congress would need to vote to accept a competing slate of electors. If they don’t, the electors appointed by the states’ governors — all pledged to Biden in these cases — must be used." Associated Press.

Trump will soon be officially a one term President. He probably deserves some credit for the federal support of the vaccine program, but this is likely going to be overshadowed by various indictments in New York state in 2021.

How soon do youse guys think we can get back to playing with and talking about toy or any type of trains?

I have voted in every election since I became 21, the required age at that time, and when it was over, regardless of the results,
it was over and we went back to normal. Well at least the non politicians did. I really hope that will happen again. At least on MTJ.
In the real world I am afraid the animosity that has developed will take many years to overcome. If ever.
