It's amazing that, even with all of the ugliness and illness washing over us these past couple of years, we Americans can still find a lot to be thankful for. Hopefully, as we have done for 244 years, we can continue to press our way forward.

Thanks for the note, Tramp...hope all here has a good Thanksgiving.

Cheers, brothers. We will hold against any odds because that is what we do.

When this distance is read in miles.

Amen to that. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I don't usually look forward to such things but in 6 years I will be 92 and ,much more important, our country will be 250.
I hope my country and I will both be around for that,

I hope you will be, too, Roger, and still strong and clever, continuing to be an interesting person who is always good company.

Now Harold Lloyd, the famous Hollywood director, knew how to decorate a Christmas tree:

Harold Lloyd, the famous Hollywood director,

Hmmm..... I only know of his work in front of the camera. Good stuff and 1 of the best.

You have probably seen elements of his mansion (Greenacres) in TV shows and possibly motion pictures. Gardens in particular. Doheny Mansion and the Greystone mansion are also famous estates that have features that have been played up in TV/Films.

Some of these you can "visit" as part of architectural tours in LA (Bradbury building too). Harold Lloyd's estate is in private ownership.

I’m confusing him with Mack Sennet...Lloyd was primarily an actor.

That Christmas tree photo needs to be in color. It's not a good looking Black and white photo.

It would have to be hand colorized. Lloyd was primarily a silent film star.
