Those Atlas/Roco trucks are actually quite nice. I leave them on and substitute the Atlas/Roco two-rail wheelsets (when I can find them). About four ounces of weight over each truck seems to work for me. Good luck with the Lionel truck substitution. Note that you have the original IC release, the dot is over the "C" not the "I", I bought one when they came out just because of the error.

Plastic wheels and fixed couplers ...not enthused!
