Less police is not good. Better police is.

That while seemingly is obvious,it also seems very difficult to achieve.

Growing up in the 60's I thought it was ironic that many of the guys who became local cops were the near-do-wells in HS who were in trouble more than others. Maybe because of their numerous run ins with the police they decide to join them.

Funny, it was not the near-do-wells in HS during my time; it was the truly marginal with minimal futures that could have ended up on either side of the bars.

Stupidity is what is prevailing. I received a clip of a cop saying the police department had received a request from a group holding a rally to abolish the police asking for police protection at the rally.

One might think that request might cast doubt on the purpose of the rally.

Hard to gauge the magnitude of that kind of idiocy.

It's the same ilk that made everybody miserable to have to be present in the same classroom as they. They are largely devoid of empathy and are overly focused on matters of their pelvic regions, as opposed to cerebral matters and foci.

The gimme group . If you gave every one of them a brand new Mercedes, the first thing out of their mouths would be they were "disrespected " by not having been asked what color they preferred . Nothing is ever going to be enough for their massive egos.

The interesting thing about that is that the only reason Lee went with the Confederacy is because that is the way his home state of Virginia went.

Yesterday. Saturday , 40,000 window-air conditioners were given, free, to "the needy" in NYC . One of the recipients, when interviewed on TV, CBS News, said - first words out of her mouth - that it wasn't enough.
