Hobo Jungle
Re: Hobo Jungle
I think I am getting grumpier because, for various reasons beyond my control, it is getting harder for me to find useful stuff to do.

You are not alone! I make a point to get into my shop, get out to the gardens, do some overdue projects........just do something!

I agree with Jon, beware of photobucket. Even if you paid the ransom they asked for
when they blocked viewing of all your photos, they still may not let you share your
photos with friends.

Promptly bailed out of Photobucket and never looked back.

I. Money should never be your God. God is only love.
2 You should not use God for gain. Evil is the ability to deny truth in order to serve the self. The DEVIL!
3 Do not use the name of God to start wars, to make money, to make yourself feel important or superior, etc. God is only love in any form and for all living things.
4 Appreciate the incredible beauty around you, the beauty and truth of nature. At least once a week for a full day! Do only that. Be outside of yourself, your worries, your regrets, your fears. Leave them for the overwhelming beauty that God has created for you to enjoy and wonder at.
5. Honor thy father and mother. (I took care of my mother for 33 years. It really was a total pain in the ***. I created a 356 and drove it across America for the memory of my father who died penniless and forgotten, BUT not by me). If you go against your parents it only hurts you spiritually in the end.
6. Do not murder. The end never justifies the means. Killing for others is just as evil. Soldiers work for the devil. All of them, no matter how they hide behind God. You cannot hide behind God!
7. Do not steal. Give! Share! Be generous.
8. You should only orgasm with the one you love. But that could be God. But sex without true love is horribly damaging.
9 Do not lie or be unfair. Admit your mistakes. It is not only simpler, you will find it leads to better understanding. Learn to communicate with yourself, others, and God.
10. Don’t be greedy. Look around you! If you have God you will not need anything else. A rich person NEVER knows who loves him or her. I asked God: "Why do you love me?" The answer: "Why do you love me so much." I cried at the truth of it.

Thank you for sharing your ten commandments to live by, Tramp.
Did you know that God spoke the ten commandments to the 12 tribes of Israel?
What do you think Israel's response was to hearing God speak to them?

I'm pretty sure they thought they were superior to such things? But I am guessing.

Wayne PLEASE understand the commandments are certainly not MINE.

Tramp wrote:Wayne, how are you? You ended our very interesting religious conversation after I sent you the 10 commandments as I heard them from God. Why?

I understand. If a man dictates a letter to his secretary and the secretary writes down what he says and then types it up to send it to a client, the letter is not her words, they are the man's words.
I just made the same mistake so many do when they claim the bible cannot be trusted because it was written by man. Yes it was but it is not their words they wrote, it is God's words.
The conversation stopper was me. All I could see was the 10 commandments you recorded did not match the words Moses recorded. I did not have enough experience in understanding God's words to say anything at the time.
How long ago was that, January 2019? Maybe I am better prepared to talk about it now.

Re: Hobo Jungle
How did the twelve tribes of Israel respond when God spoke the ten commandments to them?
They responded with shear terror.
Exodus 19
9 And Jehovah said to Moses: “Look! I am coming to you in a dark cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you and so that they may always put faith in you as well.” Then Moses reported the words of the people to Jehovah.
16 On the morning of the third day, there was thunder and lightning, and there was a heavy cloud on the mountain and a very loud sound of a horn, and all the people in the camp began to tremble. 17 Moses now brought the people out of the camp to meet the true God, and they took their place at the base of the mountain.
Exodus 20
20 Then God spoke all these words
God spoke the ten commandments in the next few verses.
And when He was finished, the Israelites responded...
18 Now all the people were witnessing the thunder and lightning, the sound of the horn, and the mountain smoking; and seeing this made them tremble and stand at a distance.v 19 So they said to Moses: “You speak with us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak with us, for fear that we will die.”
I think, if you have ever been close to a lightning strike, you will understand their terror.

Jehovah?
Moses was on a first name bases with God.
Exodus 6:3 (King James version)
And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.
See also: Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, and Isaiah 26:4 (all King James version)

...and he was rewarded with a nice longevity, though only a tiny fraction of Noah's remarkably long life, as stated in the Old Testament.
Also, though each was blessed with children, the long line of descendants from Noah was prodigious , wasn't it.
