There are closets next to the fire escape exits but the corners are clear.

No, but the skills needed for trick photography were well developed even then.

Lighting and shadows don't match. The "plane" and its occupants have a strong light source to the right of the photo. The background lighting is less sharp/strong and is from the "front/left". Also, where are the propellors and "motor"? It looks like a bike chain(s) connected to the center set of wheels. The women's clothing doesn't seem to be "blowing" in the wind.

Of course - it's an old trick photo mash up card. Think about those cards with the giant veg on the flat car...

Were you like that Murph? Hmmmm?
Being 6' at 12 yrs old, I'd say I was pretty adventurous and somewhat bold, I suppose, but while I would have been right up front, investigating, I am sure I would not have stepped in front of an adult like that, keeping off to the side a bit, I believe..

It was my birthday. They were very dear playmates. The two on the right, very popular Jewish brothers in our neighborhood, became wealthy real-estate magnates, and the Italian boy with his hand on my shoulder became a leading lawyer in Pennsylvania, and later, a sitting-judge.
My father had removed any hedges that acted as barriers between the yards so we could run back-n-forth playing tackle-football, or Red-Rover.
Just like the last line spoken by the narrator in "Stand By Me", I look back and wonder, was there ever a time in life like childhood when we could so easily and lastingly make so many dear friends, so easily.
I'm not sure.
Thank you, Wayne, for the kindness of posting that photo for me.

Gazebo is still there. The other shot looks like it make have been taken along the old Cumberland Valley Rail line. It looks like it may have crossed King Street near the location of the current History Center.

Yup. CVRR at one time went right through the middle of town. I've posted a version of this card in the past. I've also posted a card that claims to be the the last train to through town - line was moved to outside town; happened in several towns.
