"There is just as much corruption, cronyism on the left as there is on the right. "

It's not left or right. It's Bernie Sanders vs. Donald Trump. Specific individuals. No question in my mind who is more likely to be concerned about the working and middle classes, much less the poor, nor who is more likely to engage in corruption, cronyism and pandering to the racist, fascist elements of our society. All this boogey man stuff about socialism is so much nonsense, and frankly, Sanders does himself no favors by even mentioning the term, which is largely misunderstood by our people.

boogey man stuff,...... Fascinating. However it appears all this boogey man stuff is coming from the democrats at present who apparently don't want Sanders to be their candidate for president. Even the liberal pundits like Chris Mathews and James Carville don't want Sanders either. They all want a moderate democrat to run..... Why is that?

People don't want socialism. They want free stuff and believe that it is named socialism. They think Bernie will fill their pockets by taking money from Amazon. They think Bernie will erase their school debt. Wipe out your student loans. Then what do you give people without student a loan? He wants $15.00 an hour minimum wage. I don't know what minimum is here in pa. Go to homedepot they start @ $14.50. Local school bus drivers get $23.85 to start and $3000. sign on bonus if you stay a year. They can't get people to drive. No matter how magic he is. He'll still need to get a divided government to work with him. Good luck with that.

A specific group would - and does - consider it "entitlement."
And soon enough, it will be called "reparations." Watch. We'll see.

Because the middle is where the population is and we currently have the most polarizing president ever; we don't need his opposite pole.

Not according to Neil.

Someone pointed out recently that the voter demographics have changed dramatically since 2016. Many more young people as a proportion of the electorate, many more "Latinx" in particularly. Considering that Trump won many critical states by next to nothing (a few thousands or tens of thousands of votes) and the newly minted electorate favors Democrats by about 2:1, the chances of getting this incompetent, dishonest and dangerous man out of office is looking better than previously. The irony that it may be an even older, white male who does it is rich indeed.

If you're a person in their 20s or 30s, which vision of our nation do you prefer, Bernie Sanders (and a probable female vice presidential candidate) or Donald Trump? A no brainer to me :). With Sanders and a Democratic Senate and House, we will see investment in health care, scientific and medical research, education and the future. With Trump, you'll see corruption, cronyism and soak the middle class to fund the wealthy who will keep the money in off shore accounts.

So? Maybe my definition of middle excluding both polarizing ends is being overlooked. Maybe also overlooking a large % that is very dissatisfied with Trump and is just tired of the lies, bizarre adolescence, and paranoia. "They" may have their desires and analysis; I might just agree with it. Sadly we may not have that choice. This 2 party thing has deteriorated to nothing but polarization.

However, I don't think he disagees with my assessment of

"I don't think he disagees with my assessment of"

True that. I'm perfectly happy with a President Biden or Klobuchar, particularly if we have a Democratic House and Senate. We might see some progress toward improving health care and education, and some court appointees who have less in common with the Dred Scott decision than Roe vs. Wade. No more apologists for regressive ideologies that should have disappeared with the New Deal and giving women the vote :). Judges parading their misogynist, racist, robber baron philosophies as "strict construction" of the Constitution. And a President who is clearly not only a narcissist but paranoid beyond belief. "The coronavirus is a media and Democratic plot against HIM." Nitwit.

Bernie Sanders is not a democrat. He is an independent. He can run as a 3rd party.

Bloomberg can also run as a 3rd or 4th party.

Fixed it. No more polarization.

Sanders has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. I made twice as much last year as I did when I was working, I didn't do a thing.
If any Democrat wins expect a collapse of the good economy we have now.

The economy is already heading down the tubes because the public is in PANIC mode over the beer-virus.

Doesn't have anything to do with Democrats or republicans

I did to last year because I took a very large income distribution from my retirement investments. The money I put into it starting 35 years ago was tax differed so now come April 15th uncle Sam will get his.

My youngest granddaughter is a straight A student at Wichita State and graduates in a couple of months and will move on to a higher degree. I promised her a nice graduation present to further her education. Last year I also gave all my family members a large Christmas Present. :)

And, it was never anywhere near "good" either.

It's been propped up and supported by the consumer index for several years. Now it's adjusting/correcting to reality due to excess credit issues forcing sales to cover calls all triggered by the virus crimping supply pipelines.

So, you actually did not make any more income than before - just accessed your own savings..... Accessing those accounts can trigger some unpleasant tax surprises - starting writing that check!

OTOH, my actual income will go up solely due to additional consulting opportunities.

Got to be careful on amounts doing that to not trigger taxable income vs. gifts.
