I feel the same way. Nobody gets off their cellphone now. People can't stop talking through a movie. It may not be Burger King. For the $36.00 i pay to take the family. I want it my way. Quite. Plus our library loans out dvds for 14 days
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

Change:
Ibrahim Nasrullayev, an Azerbaijani refugee to Sweden,
sings his truth on "Sweden's Got Talent"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2POS77xgCw

( trust I got every bit of that address correct so you can most fully include in your witness the translation provided across the bottom of the screen, along with the reactions of the audience, children, judges, stage manager, the singer's family, and words of the judges, and Ibrahim's immersion.)

Azerbaijani refugee Ibrahim delivers the most emotional audition - Sweden's Got Talent - Talang 2017

You can click on the above link that will take you directly to the video

Murph, did you become emotional watching the person sing ?? I got a little water in my eyes but it was not from the song it was watching how emotional his mother and sister were.

What impressed me the most was ( A refugee who has been in Sweden one year and comes and sings in Swedish ) He worked had to learn the language in the country he wants to stay in. I wonder if his mother and sister have also learned the language.

Hi Hondo, It was the truth of it all that touched me and motivated me to share it here among these good people.

Thank you , sincerely , for your reach back on this.

I am of the opinion that when words are insufficient that is why humans have created the arts.

The performing art of singing is unique in its ability to tell a truth involving the use of words and beyond.

The entire experience of seeing and hearing this young man's delivery of the truth he has felt in this song, along with the collective concert of the audience's reaction, as well as that of the judges, testifies to the truth of it all.

All of us know the truth when we experience it, and any person possessed of a heart and soul knows the truth of this performance. The message is delivered with artistry and skill - with truth - by this artist, and everybody knows it and rejoices in the moment and collective-knowledge.

IMHO

Although I did not really like most of the discussion in this topic ( see earlier post ) it did add several pages to the forum. It iis always good when that happens. Too bad it was not about model trains. Thanks to Murph for starting it.

Take a look at what got the most attention over the weekend. It wasn't model trains.

I think Christopher gave up on the forum. He would start those weekend photo's every week and got very little participation.

Healey is doing it now with the same results. :(

At least the two rail folks spend most of their forum space on trains.

Don't misunderstand. It is just that I am afraid that our friendly discussions might turn into something not nice and our MTJ explodes.
There are other forums that nothing but train talk but I want the variety that we have on MTJ to not change.

I generally post something now and again when I have completed a project, but I do not build as fast as I used to nor am I building as many projects as in the past.

CHANGES.

I know very little about the Catholic religion. But after reading this article from the BBC, do you think they will change the rule about celibacy. ??

Pope Francis rules against ordaining married men in Amazon
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-51474009

From the article and I didn't know this.
Quote
"Priestly celibacy was introduced about 900 years ago, and before then clergy were often married. St Peter, considered to be the first pope, was a married man and many early popes had children."
