And I'll bet that plenty of them think they should be the one delivering the State of the Union address.

It makes me wonder if being President is fun, any more.

Iowa caucus: Former Hillary Clinton staff revealed to be behind ‘Shadow’ app that caused chaos
https://news.yahoo.com/shadow-former-hi ... 10770.html

The team behind the disastrous app used in the Iowa election app has been revealed.

The app, created by a startup named Shadow, was supposed to be used to co-ordinate information from the caucuses and allow organisers to send results back to the party. But it crashed repeatedly through the night, and has led to a failure to declare any kind of result.

Shadow’s website describes the team behind the app as “campaign and technology veterans who have built and implemented technology at Hillary for America, Obama for America, Google, Kiva, Apple, the AFL-CIO, and the DNC”.

Another sort of Change:
Last night, when I went to my "Favorites" and explored some of the music I had saved there, something new appeared, across the near-top of the screen. It stated, immediately following a triangle: We'll stop supporting this browser soon. For the best experience please update your browser.

Then, as I began listening to music, it sposted, " Watch YouTube videos with Chrome. Yes, get Chrome now.

Something about all of it made me dubious. May I ask for your perspective and advice, gentlemen. What should I do?

Happens a lot. And another reason to have 2-3 browsers installed. When I'm at my office there are at least 2-3 sites that I use regularly that the lagging behind Gov't default browser simply fails totally. When I'm in my home office, the one publication that I work for runs far, far better on Chrome while other stuff works better using Firefox. I rarely use IE for anything anymore, but it's available if really needed.

I much appreciate your giving me your perspective, especially since a similar (?) posting has begun to appear on one of my banking sites, stating, along the near-top of its Sign-in page:
!Please update your browser.
We'll stop supporting Internet Explorer soon. Choosing another browser will also help protect your accounts and provide a better experience.
Update your browser.

It's unsettling to me.

I think my biggest problem (besides having a Fourth Grader's computer acumen, if that much) is I don't think I understand what the term "browser" means, though I have just, now, looked it up on my iPhone and am reading an explanation there. Trying to. (I assume the exercise will be building braincells.)

The answer to Why? is because I am not informed sufficiently on the subject; hence, my coming here  with my inquiry, Rufus, and I much appreciate your getting involved.

I do have Firefox on my laptop, also. (I think it was you who advised I do so, quite a bit ago.)

When it comes to computers I can work with them as I used to build them for myself and others. But the smart phone is a new ball game for me. I just upgraded from a flip phone to a smart phone. Not that I wanted to but I was informed that the service on the flip phone would end this year.

So now I am having to learn how to use this thing. All I really needed was just a phone not a computer to carry with me. I used the GPS for the first time the other day just to see how it worked. That was interesting. It knows exactly where I am at and how fast I am going. And it knows the speed limit where I am at. What a distraction this can be.

The software that your phone or computer uses to navigate the internet. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc......

(I assume the exercise will be building braincells.)

No, you're pretty well stuck with those you have now - connectivity upgrades, maybe.

Good at using them; not so good at actually understanding them though. Still ahead of most adults,
