That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, but if you wait a few minutes, it'll probably get worse

Most women today, unless they are of a certain mind, no longer use garters any more either.

Dinorwig Quarry Railroad located high above Llyn Padarn, near Llanberis, in North Wales.
Dinorwig is famous for its Dinorwig Quarry suspension bridge.
The railway is narrow gauge, the locomotive and cars are lightweight.
A suspension bridge was deemed the most cost effective method of crossing the canyon.

If you are looking for something like the Golden Gate Bridge...
Image
It is not that kind of bridge (suspended from cables.)

It is a simple suspension bridge with the deck or ties (sleepers in Europe) on cable or rail.

Think of it like the Lionel Trains Trestle Set, Nothing holds the track up between trestles.
Image
The Lionel track is straight between trestles but in real life it would sag, just like the Dinorwig Quarry suspension bridge.

And compare the ties (sleepers) on the Dinorwig Quarry track... stamped steel just like Lionel Track (even brown like O-27 track.)
