I suspect this is about the J and they have every right to complain. The color is wrong. It has been right in the past. We are paying a lot of money for these engines.

Here’s a video of my fully functioning Lionel TMCC Crane that’s been 2 railed. I’ll take it over a scale brass crane any day!

I also finished converting this MTH Milwaukee Road R50B this evening. Inexpensive and nicely detailed!

There have been some heated 'discussions' over on OGR recently about colors and fidelity to the prototype from Lionel. I have NO IDEA what their (Lionel) mission statement regarding product might be, or if they even have one (other than to make all the profit they can).

I have NO animosity or disdain for they who choose the 3 rail side, or the objects of their lust, but I think some people have slipped a cog expecting any kind of accuracy from a company that is essentially selling (and has been for years) toy trains.

My thought is, if you want accuracy, maybe it is time to go two rail (and I am in no way claiming some of 2 rail is the paragon of correctness).

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some modest attempt at accuracy from LIonel or MTH. Last year Lionel fielded some PRR cabin cars that were PURPLE, not tuscan. That's not acceptable. Lionel, MTH, and any other manufacturer of any scale is capable of doing better. As others have pointed out, Lionel's freight cars awhile back were the standard for fidelity. You get 1 pot of money to spend on a project - do it right is my philosophy.

Isn't that why the internet exists?

Finally. A short, reasonable answer to that question that Mr. Gore never answered.

Therein lies the problem. Mr. Gore did not in fact invent the Internet. The Internet grew out of ARPANET:

Some of the confusion regarding the genesis of the Net might be due to the usage of the "Intern Net" (can you spell Lewinsky) during the Clinton administration, which is a horse of a different color.

He never said he invented the internet. His actual quote was in terms of his efforts as a senator in pushing funding for the technologies that lead to the development of the internet.
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

As my old Daddy once said, don't believe anything you hear and about 1/2 of what you see, and you'll probably do OK. On that note, I saw a short film clip of Mr. Gore saying "I invented the Internet". The veracity of that clip I had NO way of confirming. I found it hard to believe that anyone of any intelligence would make such a statement, but as I never heard it refuted or noted any lawsuits regarding the validity of such, that I thought there was a possibility it was accurate. I suppose I should have gone to the old standby Snopes. Had I been Mr. Gore I would have sued for everything but their dentures. Thanks!

Did a quick bit of digging and got this clip off You Tube:

He probably should have said supported funding for the creation of the Internet. That said, they definitely twisted his words.
