Ed Spanknoble Wabash Mikado

A friend of mine was asking me about Ed Spanknoble, and in my digging around I discovered that he only passed away this year. Here is the obit:

I was disappointed that they made no mention that he was a very talented modeler that did wonderful custom builds of Wabash (and other?) locomotives. This seems to be often the case, that the family has no real concept of the hobby -- at least at the level that Ed operated. At a service for a local deceased club member, his widow told those of us who were going to speak that she wanted to hear what it was about him that we admired, as she didn't get it. Wow -- the lesson here is to write your own obit (and sign all of your models!).
