Hines and Lobaugh mashup

Postby bob turner » Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:55 pm

This one is described as gorgeous. I submit that it could be made into a nice model, but it would take disassembly and a skilled torch operator. Check out the starting bid - over $700.

Way overpriced with lousy edited cell phone photos that do nothing to help.
If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.

Got some GMC/All-Nation in it, too. Lead truck, looks like loco bottom cover.
The green tint...either lousy editing or corrosion?

Sure that's not one of Turners? Tender trucks off the track are a hallmark, are they not?

Same seller, same proud of his junk pricing.
Asking about a hundred with economy shipping at 40.
Makes each one costing about four times the most I ever spent for one of those.

Oh, well.

same guy. NOBODY pays $55 for one of these....yes, has ONE pickup roller and probably light...flicker on switches....yes, has window insert....NO end ladders, NO underfloor toolboxes, NO rear coupler.....does have intact roof corners. $7.50 at a train show, no $15 economy shipping....makes this $70.
