Damn, this world sucks. Just for curiosity I get notifications when fresh listings for 62 corvettes come on eBay. I like to see when the market is. Just received notice of 3 new listings and one is my car. They used the photos from the website of the company I bought it from 8+ months ago. Listing is in RI and says its a trusted repeat lister.
Obviously notified EB, but we'll see what happens.

As long as you are not listed as the seller, it's not that big a problem.
It's when you get notification that it's your car and you are the seller - now that's a problem. My account got hacked once and I found out I was selling motorcycles that I did not own

I agree and I'm good.......it's just disappointing. Either the seller in RI got hacked and someone is using his account (I think this is the case) or he's the crook. But, its just a sign of the times. Find it hard to fathom someone could be dumb enough to bid, buy and send a deposit (which would have to be outside EB), but who knows.

Might shoot the seller a question noting that the photos are of your car, if only for the entertainment value and response.

What if we all bid on it? Hack it up to half million. Then bail on payment

Thought about that, but I've already had my EB account compromised once in the past and didn't want to give anyone, any chance of hitting me again. Actually had the email written and then thought better of it.
