Ok, so what is it then? Still think it's Gort

Of course it's Gort, Rufus, Murph's, "wow mmaaaaaayyyyyybeeeeee :mrgreen " is all the evidence you need.
Maybe I can interpret for you.
"wow" means, "You got it so soon!"
mmaaaaaayyyyyybeeeeee" is Murph's usual way of trying to cast doubt which he would not have done if you were wrong.
" " is a Freudian slip. Gort had green metal skin.

You just retired (or did you?) and already are losing your analytical skills.

It somewhat resembles that whale's heart you showed us before.

Gort, indeed. "The Day The Earth Stood Still."
circa 1951

I find it fascinating that some images were so new and unique, when first experienced, that when we see them again, even several decades afterward, that we realize they have remained fixed in our memories forever .

BTW: This was true of the words the Patricia Neal character was supposed to say to Gort that are very memorable, also, " Gort, Clatu verrada ..." (Go ahead; finish it; you know you remember it.) :D

Bravo! See! I couldn't even mislead you with the deliberate misspelling.

Totally memorable. I was 7 at the time when my friends and I went to a matinee at our town's little movie house . We were very excited by something so totally new we couldn't have thought of it on our own from our young imaginations.

And don't even get me started about that wonderful ship.

P.S. Did Gort perform a resurrection ?!?!?!!!!!!!

At that time I thought the Day the Earth Stood Still along with Forbidden Planet were the best sci-fi movies I had seen. They still rate very high with me.
As with the Godfather and ( brain just shut down, I can't think of the title of the Orson Wells movie ) ??????? for me these movies made before all of the computer tricks show the real art of movie making. I do appreciate what is being done with newer movies but think that the real artistry of the actors, directors, and others is just ( brain just woke up--- Citizen Kane ) not recognized much today.

I agree with you about including "Forbidden Planet" , circa 1956, as a wonderous movie of that era , too. We thoroughly enjoyed them both. I've heard recently that the movie followed Shakespeare's 'The Tempest," though Forbidden Planet has a destructive ending and The Tempest has a pleasant ending. :?:

I thought it was a breast of a disinterred female human corpse, but now that he has said it is not biological, the picture isn't clear enough for me to venture a guess.

BTW, this was remarkably well analyzed and explained. You are a fun guy to socialize with, Wayne. Yes, indeed.
