Happy as I can be....almost. The full skirted version runs fine around the track in one direction. Turn it around and run it and it shorts out around curves. I thought I had it fixed by adjusting a metal brake hanger against a driver.
The modified T1 runs smooth as glass in either direction but has an intermittent lighting issue. Into everyone’s life some rain must fall.

I was always a fan of this loco from the first time I saw one on the PRR.

Lead and trailing truck wheels hitting frame. Use tape to troubleshoot.

Bob, I’m thinking the front trucks are the issue on both. I’m going to take off the front truck on one and run it, see what happens.

Both engines running perfectly now. Turns out it was the metal brake hangers touching the drivers and shorting out in curves. I have them centered properly between the drivers now.
