Educate me:
If the Iranian "commandos" who descended from that helicopter onto that British tanker were such country-righteous , legitimate, soverign-country "soldiers", why were they wearing masks which completely covered their heads and faces ?

It doesn't make sense to me either.
I am thinking more along the lines of how stupid the British are. They know that Iran has threatened to capture British flagged ships, They have naval ship in the area. They should be escorting each one. That way when these piss-ant Iranian gunboats approach a tanker blow their a$$es out of the water. Don't fire warning shots.

Re: In the News
I don't know that it has to be a situation of one or the other, the masked-men or the British inaction (though sometimes inaction is an action). It seems to me to be a complicated matter, with serious effect(s) from both - all - parties involved, in the present and in the prospective future events and rhetoric.
However, it is clear to me who the provocateur is.

The British captured an Iranian ship in the Mediterranean that was headed for Syria against UN sanctions.
This is in retaliation for that

Wearing masks is not uncommon for many country's special forces and commandos now due to the quality of facial recognition software and that just about everything is recorded now

Re: In the News
Why would a country which was sending out legitimate armed forces be concerned about "facial recognition" of its soldiers?
And I further wonder who was taking that newsreel footage of that helicopter disgorging its commandos down onto that tanker - who had such a vantage point ,already there, while it was occurring , no less (!)

You want some nut case or terrorist showing up on your doorstep thanks to the world knowing who you are?

Interesting and to my point - recorded. Could have easily been a camera on a drone....

You make good sense. I'm glad I asked.
There must be more to it, though, too.

We used to keep the ID's of our various special forces secret or at least not advertised for their security and the safety of their families, etc. Many countries do the same.

Looks like all the state has to do is raise the property taxes and then they could provide free lunches for all the children....

The article makes it clear they don't want money, they want to terrorize their poor parents with the same kid keep-away game Republicans are playing on would-be emigrants. I'm roasting marshmallows on the flames of burning rich psychopath souls, right now. Mmm!

What? Huh?
Re: In the News
Today’s morning news covered a lot of this story. I find it ironic. $22,000 is owed. By 1000 families. With the lowest amount owed is $75.00
One school board members is filmed. Saying. “We need to know if these families spent money on cigarettes and booze.”
