I usually have pretty good luck with google maps street views. Not this time. Maybe things have changed too much.

Mechanic Street is still there in Milroy, but 100 years of time does change things a smidge, :wink:

More likely a large stream. That looks to be a small dam behind them probably diverting for a raceway to I'm guessing a mill - stone structure behind them.
