Can't ever remember or seeing anything about this Eurovision before but since I have been reading the BBC a few times per day that is where I picked up on it. Apparently it has been going on for a number of years.
They hold the competition once a year and whoever or what ever group wins they hold the next years comp in that country. Last years winner was from Israel so that is where 2019 is being performed. That has caused quite a stir it's self.
