Have this chunk of track. No idea who made it, other than construction and materials are like the old H0 fibre flex track.

Fibre ties, staple\d onto (about) .275 brass rail.

I used to have a few pieces of that, but in two-rail. I do not now remember who made it (if I ever did). The rail on mine was code 172 or close to it.

Probably is 172 or 175. In a hurry on the dial caliper. Too short for over 1/4"

Do they even make H0 fibre flex track anymore? Probably not. Geesh, I remember bending bushel baskets of that stuff with The Old Man...he made a jig we used to get consistent inside/outside curves on double-track sections. Man, that must have been forty-couple years ago...

Haven't seen it for sale in what 40 years?
Plastic flex has wood grain detail!

I gave a whole box of brand new H0 fibre flex to my nephew for his kid. He wants to set up the family H0 stuff in a couple of years.
BAD part is ballast with this stuff.

Wet the ballast and the ties warp, and gauge goes all wonky.

I sometimes buy it at train shows and pull the rails (code 100 only) for use on my someday-to-be-built trolley layout. Cheap and usually easy to find.

That was the brilliant bit for The Old Man - he never finished anything. Never got to ballasting, which sounds fortuitous.

Could you use a non-water based glue for ballasting, like rubber cement, or would any solvent cause the same distortion?

About 20 years ago I bought a couple of sections of two rail that look suspiciously like that. All the shop said was it was two rail trolley track. I just wanted the rails to fake a third rail for a subway diorama. I remember the staples were pretty far apart and kind of a PITA to remove. Funny for "flex track" in that the bending radius/ease was very different for the rails than the ties.

https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/topic/old-atlas-track end of posting

It appears longer sections than I have are printed Atlas under license.

It also appears these are Bob Peare Trackmaster items...licensed to Atlas.

Still looking.

I built several of the Westbrook Lionel compatible cars in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
They worked with my Lionel stuff just fine.
