Hobo Jungle
Re: Hobo Jungle
When I called out, the most overwhelming thing in my life (by far) occurred. I have stopped telling people about it since it has always gone very poorly—I lost three old friends—which made me conclude that most people do not want God to exist. Oddly, the manifestation that appeared before me was female, and she spoke to me inside my brain, but in a very wonderful and clear voice. What she said to me has changed me forever. I will leave it at that. I write this mainly for Murph or is it Frank.
This was part of our conversation which lasted off and on for weeks.
I. Money should never be your God. God is only love.
2 You should not use God for gain. Evil is the ability to deny truth in order to serve the self. The DEVIL!
3 Do not use the name of God to start wars, to make money, to make yourself feel important or superior, etc. God is only love in any form and for all living things.
4 Appreciate the incredible beauty around you, the beauty and truth of nature. At least once a week for a full day! Do only that. Be outside of yourself, your worries, your regrets, your fears. Leave them for the overwhelming beauty that God has created for you to enjoy and wonder at.
5. Honor thy father and mother. (I took care of my mother for 33 years. It really was a total pain in the ***. I created a 356 and drove it across America for the memory of my father who died penniless and forgotten, BUT not by me). If you go against your parents it only hurts you spiritually in the end.
6. Do not murder. The end never justifies the means. Killing for others is just as evil. Soldiers work for the devil. All of them, no matter how they hide behind God. You cannot hide behind God!
7. Do not steal. Give! Share! Be generous.
8. You should only orgasm with the one you love. But that could be God. But sex without true love is horribly damaging.
9 Do not lie or be unfair. Admit your mistakes. It is not only simpler, you will find it leads to better understanding. Learn to communicate with yourself, others, and God.
10. Don’t be greedy. Look around you! If you have God you will not need anything else. A rich person NEVER knows who loves him or her. I asked God: "Why do you love me?" The answer: "Why do you love me so much." I cried at the truth of it.

Tramp, (Such an odd name for somebody so dignified and enjoyable) I love how you have the courage and creativity to speak out loud. And apparently, you know that when we write (or even say) something, we can add words to it, but we cannot take words away. Once our message is delivered, it exists.

We pass through the vernal equinox on Wednesday, March 20. Can't come soon enough for me.

I'm sorry, Rex. I apologize if I misjudged the level of tolerance on MTJ for my commenting on and sharing reflections on a difficulty I have been going through. I shouldn't have inflicted all that "snowflaking" on the forum. I'll try to "get tough"(er) and "get going," as E7 directed in this regard, by trying to continue to heal, but keep my trap shut about it. Thank you, both, for this lesson .
Please excuse my error in judgement, sirs.

Better to just ignore it, Murph. People that use the term "snowflake" are generally incapable of any form of empathy.
The average train of thought isn’t big enough to carry a full sized opinion on any subject.
Re: Hobo Jungle
Murph, you're going to be ok. I'm sure you 're feeling intense pain these days. I know you have other social interactions outside of MTJ, but don't let a little criticism stop you from relating to the group here. We're rooting for you!

Murph,
What Rufus said just above. To make this more clear, I agree with him.
IMHO it does all of us some good to see how you are handling your situation.
It also lets you know that you are not alone and IMO you never will be.

Murph, I don't claim to understand this stiff-upper-lip shit, but I gather their telling you that you're acting un-manly. I know this intolerance for the suffering of others is the basis of the saying "laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you cry alone." I've had lots of time to think about shit like this.
I remember John Boehner crying, when he became Speaker of the House. My thought was, if he can do this, he can't be all bad. Anyway, this pity-pot nonsense is another way to try to shut you up, and shut you down. Again, you scum and villainy can take your anti-American censoriousness and shove it so far up your asses, you choke to death on it.

Nothing anyone can say will help much at this time....they mean well....but you're the one going through it and no one can be in your head. You seem to have a strong link with your church, build your strength there or somewhere that provides an emotional home base. Once you get back on your emotional feet you'll know what to do...

Re: Hobo Jungle
Anyone that loses their long time best friend needs time to reassess their life.
IMHO Murph was counting on his MTJ friends to help him with one of the
greatest losses he will have. Maybe he didn't have as many friends as he
thought he had here. I guess political events and comments about events
that we on this forum can little affect. Helping a friend is not as much fun.

Re: Hobo Jungle
Hang in there Murph. It will get better. Maybe a little at a time. Just don't let it consume you. It sounds like you have a good support group with your family and friends. While I have never faced what you are going through, I believe there are most folks here are in your corner. It's easy to tell someone to get out of a funk when they are not the one experiencing it.

Re: Hobo Jungle
Such is life in the internet. I often go through long periods withdrawing from participating in online forums due to the shameful behavior of others. For either callousness or cowardly reasons, some individuals will say things to others that they would never say face-to-face. Forum posts, e-mails and texts can also be misinterpretted, hence the use of stupid emojies to clarify intent when needed. The ability to meet and converse with others sometimes far away has generally been a good thing, but certainly comes with its downsides. Dismissing those who are hurtful and not worthy of our time is easier to suggest than actually do. Sometimes I just realize I have better and more productive things to do away from my computer screen.
Re: Hobo Jungle
My experiences have shown me that many persons, when met face to face, are quite different than when found on some form of media.
